Water doesn’t wait. In the first hour it moves down through carpet into pad, sideways along the subfloor, and under the walls into rooms that look fine. The puddle gets all the attention, and the puddle is the smallest part of the problem. By the time the surface feels dry, the layers underneath have usually just started their week.

Extract it
High-volume extraction takes the standing water first. Then come the slow, weighted passes that pull up what soaked into carpet and pad. Whatever the machine removes now, the room won't have to sweat out over the next week.
Dry it down
Air movers keep wet surfaces under fast air while dehumidifiers strip the moisture back out of the room. Most rooms need somewhere between one day and three. The crew tracks the whole dry-down with readings and pulls the equipment when the numbers say done.

What exactly do you do, and what don't you do?
We extract the water, dry the floors and carpet, then clean and sanitize what got wet. We don't fix pipes, replace pad or boards, rebuild anything, or handle sewage and contaminated water. Your plumber stops the leak; a full-scale restoration contractor handles Category 3 water and demolition. We're the crew for everything between wet and back to normal.
The carpet already feels dry. Am I in the clear?
Feeling dry and being dry are different claims. Carpet pile dries in hours because it sits in moving air. The pad underneath is a sponge sealed between the carpet backing and the subfloor, and it holds water for weeks. We call a floor dry when it reads like the unaffected material two rooms away, not when it feels fine to a hand.
Will my carpet survive this?
Three things decide it: the clock, the source, and the pad. Clean water extracted the same day gives good odds. A pad that soaked for days is usually a replacement item, and since we don't sell or install carpet or pad, you'll get that verdict straight, with nothing riding on it.
Is the process safe for kids and pets?

Do you handle basement floods?

What about mold?
A fast dry-down is the thing that prevents mold, and that's exactly the service we run. What we don't do is remediation: if growth is already established from a leak that sat for weeks, that's a licensed specialty and we'll say so instead of cleaning over it.
